Kanye West's Mother: The Coroner's Report Is Out

Kanye West's mother, Donda, who on Nov. 10 died suddenly after undergoing breast reduction, tummy tuck and liposuction procedures, most likely was felled by heart disease coupled with complications after her surgeries, but the exact cause of death can't be known, coroner's officials said Thursday. "It is my opinion Ms. West died from some preexisting coronary artery disease and multiple postoperative factors following surgery," says a report from the deputy medical examiner.Might West still be alive today had she not sought plastic surgery? "She could, possibly," Ed Winter, assistant chief of the Los Angeles County coroner's office, tells the AP. "But she could have also died because of preexisting cardiac issues," including blockages of 50 to 70 percent in two arteries. In a statement, Dr. Jan Adams, who operated on West, says, "The coroner's report confirms what we have always believed. Until further discussion with the West family we have no additional comment."
