Real Housewives' Kandi Burruss Marries

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss married producer Todd Tucker on Friday, People reports.

Burruss met Tucker while filming Season 4 of the Bravo reality show in 2011 and announced their engagement last January.

Unfortunately, the couple's engagement was far from smooth. Burruss' mother Joyce believed Tucker was using her daughter and accused him of sleeping with Burruss' assistant Carmon. Her reservations towards Tucker only worsened when he refused to sign a prenup.

But Burruss, 37, didn't let her mother's disapproval dampen her special day,tweeting on Saturday: "Last night was the best night of my life!"

This is Burruss' first marriage. The songwriter was previously engaged to A.J. Jewell, who died in 2009 in a bar fight. She has a daughter Riley, 11, from a previous relationship.
