Johnny Depp has left Australia, where he is filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,to undergo surgery in the United States, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Depp injured his hand over the weekend, but the incident didn't occur while filming the Disney film. Production on Pirates 5 began in Australia in February and is only expected to be "minimally impacted" by Depp's surgery. The film is still expected to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
