John Stamos Books Guest-Starring Role on ABC's Galavant

John Stamos will truly be a knight in shining armor this TV season.

Stamos has booked a guest-starring role on ABC's upcoming musical fairy tale series Galavant, ABC News reports. He'll play a dashing knight who's the longtime rival of Galavant (Joshua Sasse), and who goes up against the title character in a local joust.

Stamos, 50, will appear in at least one episode, with the possibility for his character to recur. "He's funny as hell, and he sings, and he looks like Lancelot wishes he looked," executive producer Dan Fogelman told ABC News. "We can't wait!"
