Netflix had a booming 2018 in terms of romantic comedies, particularly those directed at teenagers. To All the Boys I've Loved Before made an internet God out of Noah Centineo and scored a sequel order back in December.

However, Netflix's most re-watched movie of 2018, The Kissing Booth, has yet to get a sequel announcement. According to star Joey King, she's still waiting on the streaming giant to give her a call about returning to her role as Elle.

"Right now, we're not really sure. [The cast] would love for that to happen, but everything is still up in the air. We're still waiting on [Netflix]," King told TV Guide at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Monday, where she was promoting her new Hulu series The Act.

Like To All the Boys, The Kissing Booth is based on a YA novel, though it doesn't have the sequel books that could easily lead to more movies. However, The Kissing Booth was a big hit amongst tweens when it was released in the summer of 2018, and its conclusion was open ended for Elle, who could either follow Noah (Jacob Elordi) to Boston or find another steamy romance in her senior year of high school.

So what's your deal, Netflix? Make the call!

The Kissing Booth is currently streaming on Netflix. The Act premieres Wednesday, March 20 on Hulu.
