The gastroenterologist who performed Joan Rivers' endoscopy has stepped down, reports ABC News.

Dr. Lawrence Cohen, the director of Yorkville Endoscopy, the clinic where the procedure was performed, was asked to leave his post in the wake of Rivers' death after he allowed a specialist who was unauthorized to practice in the clinic to examine Rivers.
