Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels is one step closer to gaining a child. The 37-year-old, who told Women's Health last spring that she was looking to adopt ("I can't handle doing that to my body," she said of bearing children), has recently filed paperwork with Congo adoption authorities.

"My dossier, which is your paperwork portfolio, is in to the Democratic Republic of the Congo," she tells Us Weekly. "So the paperwork is done, and now it's just a waiting game. It could be six months, twelve months; it could be two years. Or, it could be tomorrow! They call you and they say, 'Oh, we have your referral,' which is essentially the child they match you up with, and you go overseas and you get him or her."

Why Jillian's leaving The Biggest Loser

Michaels already has a full plate as it is:  After departing The Biggest Loser in December, she'll join the panel of The Doctors and serve as a correspondent on Dr. Phil.
