Jessica Alba Fails to Arouse Moviegoers

Disney's Enchanted repeated this weekend as box-office champ, adding $17 million to its coffers. This Christmas placed second with $8.4 mil. Rounding out the top five were Beowulf (with $7.9 million), Jessica Alba and Anakin Skywalker's Awake (opening with $6 mil) and Hitman ($5.8 mil). In limited release, both The Savages ($38,280 per screen, versus Awake's $3,002) and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly ($25,100 per screen) opened strongly.
