Great News! Here's Why Bailey Will See More of Her Husband on Grey's

Who got a promotion?

This bodes well for Dr. Bailey: Jason George, who plays Bailey's husband Ben on Grey's Anatomy, has been promoted to a series regular on the ABC medical drama, Entertainment Weeklyreports.

George also shared the news via Twitter Friday, thanking creator Shonda Rhimes and indicating that Grey's Anatomy is going to be on the air for "a while" to come.

Despite some fans speculating that Grey's is nearing the end of its run after the death of Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) this past season, both Rhimes and ABC President Paul Lee said during upfronts earlier this year that they're excited to take the show in a new direction and have no plans to end it any time soon.

How does the Grey's Anatomy pilot hold up 10 years later?

Based on the season finale, it seems like next season will focus on Bailey (Chandra Wilson) running for chief of surgery at Grey Sloan Memorial, and clearly Ben will be by her side.
