Keck's Exclusives: James Denton Books First Post-Housewives Gig
James Denton is the first Desperate Housewives actor to prove there's life after death on Wisteria Lane, booking a fun role on an upcoming episode of TV Land's Hot in Cleveland. While some killed-off co-stars opt for the lawsuit route, Jamie took his character Mike Delfino's recent death in stride — expressing gratitude that the early exit before May's series finale freed him up to take on other projects.

James will turn up on Hot in Cleveland's May 16 episode as a love interest for Joy (Jane Leeves). The two characters connect over a CB radio with James' character going by the handle Kerouac Cowboy. Kerouac is of course a nod to the late American novelist and painter Jack Kerouac whose most famous work was On the Road.
Will Joy prove to be a worthy successor to Teri Hatcher's Susan Mayer? We'll have to tune in and see.
