Hulu Orders New Series from Amy Poehler, Billy Eichner
Hulu has given a straight-to-series order to Difficult People, a new comedy from Amy Poehler and starring Billy on the Street's Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner.
Hulu has given a straight-to-series order to Difficult People, a new comedy from Amy Poehler and starring Billy on the Street'sBilly Eichner and Julie Klausner.
The series stars Eichner and Klausner (whom Poehler describes as "the funniest around") as best friends living in New York City whose irreverent behavior frequently lands them in awkward situations.

Poehler is executive-producing with Klausner, who wrote the pilot, and Dave Becky (Louie). She is also a producer on Comedy Central's Broad City, as well as her brother Greg's NBC show Welcome to Sweden.
The announcement is the latest in a string of pick-ups from Hulu. The online platform has also given recent series orders to Casual, a comedy series from Jason Reitman, and 11/22/63, an event series from J.J. Abrams based on Stephen King's book about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
