Hugh Laurie will soon return to the small screen — and in the process, he'll get to showcase his well-honed comedy chops.

After dealing in the dramatic (with a side of snark) for eight seasons on House, the actor will appear on the upcoming fourth season of HBO's Veep, TVGuide.com has confirmed. The role will mark Laurie's first TV gig since the long-running Fox medical drama ended in 2012.

E! News was first to report Laurie's casting. What type of character do you think he'll play?
