Hugh Jackman Signs on for Circus Musical

Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages, welcome to Hugh Jackman's greatest musical on Earth!

Jackman has signed on to play legendary American showman P.T. Barnum for an original contemporary musical called The Greatest Showman on Earth, according to Variety.

Besides following the story of Barnum's creation of the three-ring circus that made him famous, the musical will also focus on his infatuation with singer Jenny Lind. The love interest has been scripted for Anne Hathaway, who teamed up with Jackman in his musical opening for the Oscars.

The studio is currently in talks with British singer-songwriter Mika to write the music and lyrics for the contemporary score.
