Howard Stern says filling Simon Cowell's seat on American Idol would be the "best thing that happened to me" — but he would have to make "a ton of dough. "

"Yeah, I would do that show for $100 million," Stern told his Sirius satellite radio listeners Monday, reports TheWrap.

According to a poll, 69 percent of users thought Stern should replace Cowell, while the rest opposed the idea.

"It might be possible, we'll see, "said Stern. "They'd have to pay me a ton of dough, because I already make a ton of dough."
