Host nation Switzerland kicks off the tournament in group A with Iceland, Finland and Norway rounding out the group. Switzerland and its superstar Alisha Lehmann will have a difficult time making it out of a group full of strong sides. Iceland, led by Sveindis Jane Jónsdóttir and a squad full of European club pedigree are favorites to win the group. Second place should be Norway's with legendary striker Ada Hegerberg sitting only one goal away from her 50th for her country and a top 5 player in the world in Caroline Graham Hansen, a forward who plays for Barcelona during club season. Finland will look to upset the balance in captain Linda Sällström's likely final EURO, after over 150 caps for her country.

Group B sees powerhouse and defending World Cup champion Spain taking on a group with traditional men's powers Italy, Portugal and Belgium - three up and coming nations in the Women's game. Spain enters the tournament in top form, boasting a star-studded lineup that includes Ballon d'Or winners Aitana Bonmatí and Alexia Putellas, team captain Irene Paredes, and current Ballon d'Or favorite Mariona Caldentey - all set to take the field for La Roja. This squad should easily advance in a group of familiar foes. Between the remaining three teams, Italy could be the favorite, but it could be any of them finishing runner up to Spain, especially if any of them can secure a result against the World Champions.

This tournament's "Group of Death" sees three of the world's top 12 teams battling for two spots in the knockout round. Germany looks to maintain their pre-tournament form with a good mix of youth and experience in front of one of the world's finest keepers, Ann-Katrin Berger. Sweden will be Germany's main competition and both sides will have a level of familiarity with both squads including FC Bayern Munich players. Sweden will look to rely on former Arsenal teammates Lina Hurtig and Stina Blackstenius along with Barcelona playmaker Fridolina Rolfö to put the ball in the back of the net for the 6th ranked Swedish side. Denmark will look to play spoiler in the very tough group with the legendary Pernille Harder. Poland has a tough task to get points in this group, but stellar striker and captain Ewa Pajor will look to take her Barcelona form into the tournament and hope for an upset on the back of their defensive solidity.

Match Day 2 - Tuesday, July 8

Group D is arguably the tightest race in UEFA Women's Euro 2025, with England, France, and the Netherlands all boasting top-tier talent and tournament pedigree. Wales, making their major tournament debut, will look to disrupt the hierarchy. Defending champions England return most of their 2022 squad, but will miss goalkeeper Mary Earps, with Chelsea's Hannah Hampton stepping into the spotlight. France field a youthful side under new manager Laurent Bonadei, notably leaving out record scorer Eugénie Le Sommer, while leaning on rising stars like Marie-Antoinette Oda Katoto and Sakina Karchaoui. The Netherlands rely on elite forward Vivianne Miedema, just shy of her 100th international goal, to lead a talented yet inconsistent squad. Wales, led by Jess Fishlock and Sophie Ingle, will hope their experience and resilience can fuel a surprise.
