How to Watch MASN Without Cable in 2024

Wondering how to stream Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals games this season? We've got the details you need.

Jon Bitner

The Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) is home to the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals. You'll typically find it included with local programming when signing up for cable in qualifying regions, but you can also check out the network on select streaming services.

You'll need to be careful, however, as MASN isn't a standard offering. In fact, you won't even find it on Hulu + Live TV or YouTube TV, which are two of the most popular streaming services on the planet. That means you'll need to know exactly where to look if you want to catch the Orioles and Nationals 2024 seasons without shelling out for an expensive cable plan.

Here's a look at how to stream MASN, including a look at other important channels like ESPN, FOX, FS1, and TBS.

  • Monthly Cost: $109/mo.
  • Free Trial: 5 days
  • DVR: Unlimited

DIRECTV STREAM includes MASN when opting for its Choice Plan at $109 per month. You'll also get networks like ABC, TNT, ESPN, and MLB Network, making it a great option for baseball fans. Be sure you pick up the Choice Plan, as there's a similar Entertainment Plan that offers many of the same channels but clocks in at just $80. However, the Entertainment Plan is missing MASN, which is very important for Nationals and Orioles games. The icing on the cake with DIRECTV STREAM is all the extra features you'll get, such as an unlimited DVR and the ability to stream on unlimited screens simultaneously. If you're on the fence about the service, be sure to check out its free five-day trial, which lets you test the waters before signing up.

How to Watch MASN on Fubo

  • Monthly Cost: $80/mo.
  • Free Trial: 7 days
  • DVR: 1000 hours

Just prior to the start of the 2024 season, Fubo added MASN to its list of channels in select areas. This gives Orioles and Nationals fans a second option for streaming MASN. Coverage extends from Harrisburg, PA down to Charlotte, NC--you'll want to double check you live inside the coverage map before subscribing, though. MASN is included in Fubo's Pro Plan for $80 per month, which gets you a 1,000-hour DVR and the ability to stream on unlimited devices at once. Along with MASN, Fubo Pro gets you FOX, FS1, and ESPN. You can also tack on the MLB Network with the Sports Lite Plan for an extra $10 per month. The MLB.TV add-on costs $30 per month and grants access to out-of-market games around the league, including Orioles and Nationals games--if you don't live in the regional broadcast zone.

Fubo is known as a sports-forward platform, and when baseball isn't on, you can catch tons of football, soccer, basketball, and hockey broadcasts.

How to Watch MASN with a VPN

While MASN broadcasts are typically limited to states in the Mid-Atlantic, you may be able to watch the channel by using a VPN such as Private Internet Access or ExpressVPN. These services cost as little as $2 per month and let you spoof your device's location, tricking it into thinking you're in a different region. Depending on your VPN server location and streaming service, you may be able to use this to access MASN. It's a great time to check out the services too, as Private Internet Access is always affordable, but ExpressVPN is running a 49% discount on its annual subscription.

Watch Orioles and Nationals Games with MLB.TV

Accessing MASN while living out of the region can be tricky, so folks trying to get out-of-market games should instead look at MLB.TV. This service lets you watch all out-of-market games for a single team for $130 per year, or all teams for $30 per month. That's an incredible value, especially if you're an out-of-region fan of either team. MLB.TV is available as a standalone package, though you can also bundle it with Fubo for $30 per month. Along with games, you'll get to watch exclusive programming and highlights that round up all the latest action in one easy-to-access location.

MASN isn't Available on Most Streaming Services

Unfortunately, some of the top live TV streaming platforms like Hulu and YouTube TV do not carry MASN, and there don't appear to be any plans to bring MASN into the fold at this time. That means you'll want to look into Fubo or DIRECTV STREAM to watch the Orioles and Nationals this year. And if you're an out-of-market fan, MLB.TV is your best bet.
