How to Watch Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals

The Caps look to win their first Cup

Gord Lacey

Time: Thursday, June 7 at 8 p.m. ET
Channel: NBC and NBCSN
Stream Online: Hulu with Live TV or fuboTV (Try for free)

The Washington Capitals began the 2017-18 season viewing it as a rebuild year, and now they sit one win away from the franchise's first Stanley Cup. All that's standing in their way is a team that didn't exist a year ago, has a stellar at-home record, and hasn't lost 4-straight games any time during the season. The Golden Knights know this is a do-or-die situation, and they'll need to buckle down and take advantage of the opportunities presented to them if they hope to win. The previous 2 games in Washington were focused on special teams; Washington was able to hold off the Golden Knights on the man advantage (0/6), while capitalizing on their own chances (3/9).

You can catch Game 5 on Thursday at 8 p.m. Eastern (5 p.m. Pacific). Pre-game coverage begins on NBCSN at 6 p.m. Eastern, with NBC broadcasting the game starting at 8 p.m. You can stream on mobile via the NBC Sports App with your cable login, or if you don't have cable, you can stream the game via Hulu with Live TV or fuboTV. You may want to take advantage of the 30-hour DVR included with fuboTV, because if the Caps win it, you'll want to watch Ovi's celebration over and over again.

Vegas absolutely needs to step up their game if they have a hope of coming back against Washington. Their top line hasn't been producing, and their goalie hasn't been stopping pucks (0.739 save percentage in game 4). What does coach Gerard Gallant think the team should do for Game 5? "We're going to go out and play and work hard and go have some fun." Maybe it'll work for them.
