How to Get Away with Murder's Season 6 Trailer Has Us Officially Worried for Connor and Laurel

Another death is on the way

Lindsay MacDonald

Ready to get away with one last murder? The teaser trailer for How to Get Away with Murder's sixth and final season has arrived, and as always, we should expect another death to rock the world of Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) and her law students.

The trailer, which dropped on Twitter Thursday, does a great job of recapping the highlights of the past five seasons, including the murder of Annalise's husband Sam Keating (Tom Verica), which became very relevant again thanks to the FBI's investigation into Annalise in Season 5. Other key moments highlighted in the trailer include the murders of Lila (Megan West) and Rebecca (Katie Findlay), Wes (Alfred Enoch) shooting Annalise, the birth of Laurel's (Karla Souza) son, and more! Looking back on all these crimes, you realize how terrible it would be for these characters if even one of these events was linked back to the group.

The trailer also shows some new footage from the upcoming season, and now we're officially worried for Laurel and Connor (Jack Falahee)! While Connor has always been prone to coming unraveled under stress, the shot of him repeatedly bludgeoning someone or something in the short teaser is enough to put us on edge. The poor boy just got his happy ending marrying Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) and we can't afford to watch those two lose each other after everything they've survived.

As for Laurel, she went missing in the Season 5 finale, and it doesn't look like the gang has had any luck tracking her down. That paired with the ominous final shot of a casket in a cemetery in the trailer is making us pretty worried. But there's no way they'd actually kill Laurel, right?!

How to Get Away with Murder returns Thursday, Sept. 26 at 10/9c on ABC.
