Some might say House's lucky number just came up, others might say the bitch is back.
Either way, we're saying there's trouble ahead for the folks at Princeton-Plainsboro now that Olivia Wilde's numerically nicknamed and all-around icy alter ego has come home to roost. (The actress has been off the canvas since the start of the season due to her big-screen commitments.)
The hour opened with House picking up Thirteen on the free side of a Jersey prison's gate. Turns out the hottest doc known to man (and a few ladies, mkay) has been tucked away in our penal system, serving a six-month sentence for an undisclosed crime that even House found to be a puzzle "too good to share." Over the course of the episode, which included a few slow-leak clues, a Gossip Girl-ish "I killed a man" tease, and, because House is weird, a stop at an upstate spud-gun competition, our Sherlock with a cane finally coerced a confession from his former employee about what she did to earn her a stint in the clink. So as not to spoil it for anyone who hasn't been able to share quiet time with their DVRs, let's just say that the truth is tragic and Wilde's performance was terrific.
However, despite her obvious talents, Wilde's character hasn't clicked with everyone, so this homecoming — along with the drama her hinted-at new position will cause at the hospital — may not be a cause for cheers across the (medical) board.
So you tell us: On a scale of one to 10, how happy are you about Thirteen's return?
