House of Cards Spoils What Happens with Kevin Spacey in Final Season Teaser

President Underwood is dead. Long live President Underwood.

A new teaser for the sixth and final season of Netflix's political thriller House of Cards reveals that President Frank Underwood will be dead when the show returns. Underwood was played by disgraced actor Kevin Spacey on the show's first five seasons. Spacey was fired last year after allegations of sexual abuse were leveled against him. The teaser features Underwood's widow Claire (Robin Wright) -- who is now the Commander-in-Chief -- standing in a cemetery. "I'll tell you this though, Francis," she says. "When they bury me, it won't be in my backyard. And when they pay their respects, they'll have to wait in line." The camera then shows Frank Underwood's father's headstone, then pans to show Frank's grave. He died in 2017, the same year Spacey's career was buried.

House of Cards returns for its final season Friday, Nov. 2 on Netflix.
