TV Guide Online: Since you fibbed to your boyfriend, Jason, that you'd
only kissed Beau — and, by now, like us, he must have seen you making out
with Alex, Zack and Matt, too — is it safe to assume that your rekindled
relationship didn't work out?
Amanda: If you look at the tapes, you will never see me touching lips
with Alex, Matt or Zach — it's people assuming what they would like to see.
Jason understands what the whole editing process can do; I had explained that.
So he and I are fine now. He's very understanding.
TVGO: He sounds like a prince. So how come you didn't leave with him when
he asked you to?
Amanda: I felt that I had made some sacrifices early in our relationship.
And I also knew that when I got home, he would be there, so I figured, "Let
me stay here." He ended up supporting me in my decision to see how far I would
have gotten in the game. [He] was my real life, and Paradise Hotel was my fun
life.
TVGO: If you can call living with Toni fun. C'mon, tell the truth —
wouldn't you have popped her one if she hadn't been built like a pro wrestler?
Amanda: Um, no. The arguments that Toni and I got into... (Pauses
thoughtfully.) I know her personality, and if I let her go off, then when she cools down, she always came back and we discussed [the problem]. That's her
reaction — to pop like that. That's just her personality. My personality is
just one of sitting down and letting the person cool off. She has a great heart; she just has a very, very short temper. (Laughs.)
TVGO: Speaking of hearts, whose got broken on Paradise Hotel —
yours or beau Beau's?
Amanda: There were no hearts involved. In the beginning, we both did like
each other. But I think I held on a little bit too tight, and that scared
him. Toward the end, we decided to just be friends. I left as one of his friends, and, hopefully, when he's off the show, we'll still have a relationship as friends. He's probably the one person I trust that's still there.
TVGO: So wait a minute, this is just hitting me — the only guys
you kissed the whole time you were there were Beau and Jason?!
Amanda: Yes. I really just didn't want to kiss anybody else, because
everybody there is just swapping spit. It got to a point where I just said, "I
don't need to be part of that." I pecked everybody on the lips during the kissing game, then I walked away.
TVGO: Great. Thanks a lot. That totally blows my question about which of
the quicker pucker-uppers was the best.
Amanda: (Laughs.) Well, I can tell you that Beau is an amazing
kisser. We both agreed that the other was a good kisser.
