How a Former Hooker is Making a Difference

"It is a calling," says Annie Lobért, sounding like a preacher. Though the blonde hair and a generous helping of makeup make her appear more showgirl than altar girl, Lobért is doing God's work with Hookers: Saved on the Strip, a three-part Investigation Discovery miniseries that began last week.

After more than a decade as a self-described "high-class call girl," she now helps other women escape "the game." "I was one of them," she freely admits. "So it makes perfect sense for me to want to help."

Hookers follows a specific woman each episode as Lobért's organization, Hookers for Jesus, helps rebuild her life. Tonight's subject: teenager Dessire, who was trapped and sold into sex trafficking during a trip to Vegas. Can Annie help this former cheerleader start again? "If you know God loves you, that can set you free," says Lobért. Amen!

Hookers: Saved on the Strip airs Wednesday at 10/9c on Investigation Discovery
