Hillary Clinton is expected to deliver a public concession to President-elect Donald Trump Wednesday morning.

Trump shocked America and the world by defeating Clinton in the presidential election Tuesday night, winning 289 electoral votes to Clinton's 218, CNN is reporting. Clinton is projected to win the popular vote, however.

Clinton did not address her supporters who were gathered in Manhattan last night, but reportedly conceded to Trump in a private phone call in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Trump did briefly address his supporters Tuesday night.

President Obama is expected to speak about the election at 12:15 ET on Wednesday.
