The trailer dropped at the 2019 D23 Expo on Friday and gave us the first sneak peek into East High's production of High School Musical: The Musical. The two-minute trailer sets up the romances, showmances, friendships, and rivalries that will be taking up all of these high school kids' attention as they try to put on a great show. It's going to be drama and it's going to be delicious!

The sarcastic humor and bubbly vibe of the trailer definitely feels like early seasons of Glee, but will this series be as infectious as the Fox series? It's definitely more tongue-in-cheek than the Disney Channel Original Movie that became a phenomenon in 2006, which is a good sign.
The scripted series will drop on the same day that Disney streaming service Disney+ launches, Nov. 12,
