The actress, who split from Ghost Whisperer co-star Jamie Kennedy last month, is dating actor-director John Asher, a source tells People.

The source did not say how they met or when they started dating, but Asher, 39, filmed a guest appearance on Ghost Whisperer earlier this year that is scheduled to air Friday.Asher has a 7-year-old son, Evan, with McCarthy, to whom he was married from 1999 until 2005. (McCarthy announced this week her split from longtime boyfriend Jim Carrey.)
