Henry Ian Cusick is officially leaving The 100.

Following the news that the actor will star in Season 4 of MacGyver, many predicted that the news might signal Cusick's impending departure from The CW's dystopian thriller series. The events of Tuesday's episode confirmed those suspicions. The episode saw his character, Kane, sacrifice himself to save the others in a moment of redemption, after which Cusick wrote that, yes, he was indeed leaving the series for good.

"All things end and that's was Kane's," Cusick wrote on Twitter after the show's airing. "Thanks to Jason Rothenberg and all the cast crew writers directors of The 100 but especially to you Kabby and Kane supporters, your passion and support over the years has been truly wonderful and I love you guys for that! May we meet again."

Creator Jason Rothenberg also spoke up after Cusick's final scene aired, praising the actor for elevating the show. He tweeted, "It was a pleasure and an honor to have Henry Ian Cusick on our show for the past 6 years. The guy classed up the joint. Really helped us make the point that we were not a teen show. Not that there's anything wrong with teen shows. Anyway, we will miss him."

The 100 airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
