Mike Myers has signed an overall deal with HBO that includes two years of TV exclusivity, the network announced Wednesday.

"Mike Myers is one of the great comedy minds of this or any other era," said Lombardo. "The opportunity to collaborate with a talent of his stature is tremendously exciting." Added Myers: "I'm thrilled to be at HBO."

Golden Globes hits and misses

Though Myers is best known for his work on Saturday Night Live and the Wayne's World and Austin Powers films, the comedian recently made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed documentary Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon. The film even earned Myers a nomination for a Razzie Redeemer award, which honors former Razzie winners who have managed to produce work well above whatever earned them the dishonorable award in the first place.

Myers also recently reprised his Dr. Evil role from the Austin Powers movies on SNL's Christmas episode.
