There might be a lot of familiar themes that can be discerned betweenGame of Thronesand Donald Trump's presidency -- the ubiquitousness of the Wall, a few out-of-touch Archmaesters ignoring some very dire warnings about the climate changing, e.g. -- but after the POTUS drew upon a familiar phrase from the series to tout his latest policy decisions online, HBO has had enough.

On Friday, Trump tweeted a photo-shopped poster image of himself with the words "Sanctions are Coming" written in the show's signature font as an obvious play on the series-long warning that "Winter is Coming."

The tweet was supposed to tout Trump's decision to reinstate sanctions against Iran, following his withdrawal from the Iran Nuclear Deal earlier this year, but HBO was not amused by the play on its show's words.

In response to the lifted lingo, the network issued a statement to TVLine condemning his use of their intellectual property: "We were not aware of this messaging and would prefer our trademark not be misappropriated for political purposes." The show's official Twitter account also responded in jest with "How do you say trademark misuse in Dothraki?"

Maisie Williams, who portrays Arya Stark in the series, also expressed her disapproval of the show being used as political propaganda by Trump, while on-screen sis Sophie Turner responded to the tweet simply with the word, "Ew."
