In May, Shearer announced that he would be leaving the cartoon over the contract dispute. But Fox announced Tuesday that Shearer and the other five principal voice actors (Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith and Hank Azaria) are all confirmed for the next two seasons, with options for Seasons 29 and 30.
"Each and every member of the iconic series' voice cast will be returning in the roles they've brought to life since the show's beginnings as a series of animated shorts nearly 30 years ago," Fox said in a press release.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, each of the stars will earn an estimated $300,000 per episode.
Shearer - who voices several characters on The Simpsons including Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders and Principal Skinner - was also the last remaining holdout during the cast's contract negotiations in 2011, when the actors all agreed to a substantial pay cut.
When Shearer announced in May that he would be departing, showrunner Al Jean said he planned to recast his roles.
