Hear him call the World Series win
Chicago Cubs fans, you're going to need more tissues. Budweiser is pulling out all of the emotional stops with a new commercial featuring sports broadcaster Harry Caray calling the Cubs World Series win.
Caray spent the last 16 years of his career calling Cubs games, beginning in 1981. He was a staple at the games due to his signature deep and scratchy voice. He's also famous for saying, "Sure as God made green apples, someday the Chicago Cubs are going to be in the World Series."
The Cubs winning the world series is not the only thing Parks & Rec correctly predicted
Unfortunately, Caray didn't live to see his prophecy come true. He died in 1998, the year the Cubs hit the 90 year mark since their last Series win. Budweiser is allowing fans to experience the joy of one last Caray call though, by super imposing his voice over the winning game in a new commercial.
The Cubs won the 2016 World Series Wednesday night in Game 7, defeating the Cleveland Indians 8-7 in the 10th inning. It's been 108 years since the Cubs have won, the longest losing streak in Major League Baseball. Ironically, now the Indians hold that record with their last Series win being in 1948.
