Although the studio said it received no complaints about the trailer, the sticking point seems to be that the perhaps R-rated imagery was airing in front of a film that received only a PG-13 rating."In our haste to meet the placement schedule for this trailer, we failed to properly vet the final version with the MPAA," Warner Bros. said in a statement to the Los Angeles Times, which first reported the news. "We acted immediately to correct the mistake and removed the trailer from screens." Scream 4, which premieres April 15.
