Legendary "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" Songwriter Hal David Dies at 91

Hal David passed away Saturday morning at the age of 91, USA Today reports.According to his wife Eunice David, the songwriter died of complications from a stroke at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. David had the fatal stroke Tuesday, the second in a matter of months since first stricken in March.

"Even at the end, Hal always had a song in his head," Eunice David said. "He was always writing notes, or asking me to take a note down, so he wouldn't forget a lyric."
David was most famous for his collaborations with Burt Bacharach, including the Oscar-winning song "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," as well as songs from the Broadway musical Promises, Promises and "I Say a Little Prayer."
