Report: Controversial Pastor Ted Haggard to Wife Swap With Gary Busey

Ted Haggard, the Evangelical pastor who gained national attention after it was revealed he had taken drugs and slept with a male prostitute in 2006, will appear on Celebrity Wife Swap, The Colorado Springs Gazette reports.

Haggard, the former president of the National Association of Evangelicals, will trade spouses with Gary Busey on the ABC reality show.

According to the report, the show will shoot Thursday at a local GLBT center in Colorado Springs. Since the scandal broke in 2006, Haggard has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Larry King Live and Divorce Court. He is still married to his wife of 33 years, Gayle Acorn, and came out as a bisexual in February. Haggard is now a pastor at a nondenominational Christian church in Colorado Springs.

Haggard and Busey would join other celebrity wife swappers such as Flavor Flav, Dee Snider, Carnie Wilson and Niecy Nash. No premiere date has been set for the Wife Swap spin-off.
