Oh got a nod for Killing Eve, and her Grey's co-star couldn't be happier
Ellen Pompeo was a day late in celebrating Sandra Oh's Emmy nomination, but she made up for her tardiness with enthusiasm. The Grey's Anatomy star took to Twitter to congratulate her former co-star on Friday.
"Yes!!! So incredibly happy for @IamSandraOh who deserves this more than anyone..No one can touch this girls dedication to story telling or her talent," she wrote on a retweet of Oh's post reacting to her Lead Actress in a Drama Series nomination for Killing Eve.

Pompeo and Oh's Grey's characters Meredith Grey and Cristina Yang were best friends, a relationship solidified in the iconic line "you're my person." Oh was nominated for five consecutive supporting actress Emmys for Grey's Anatomy before leaving the show in Season 10.
If Oh takes home the statuette this year, it will mark her first Emmys win, but she already made history with her Killing Eve nomination. Oh is the first woman of Asian descent nominated for Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
The 70th Primetime Emmy Awards will air Monday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on NBC.
