It's a good day to be a Grey's Anatomy fan. Not only has the Shondaland series been renewed for Seasons 16 and 17, but TV's longest-running medical drama is finally doing Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) a solid. According to Deadline, Chris Carmack -- who plays Dr. Atticus Lincoln, aka Link -- is one of three actors being promoted to series regular, meaning the Ortho God and his lush hair are sticking around full time to give Amelia the happiness she so rightfully deserves.

Link first arrived at the start of Season 15 as Meredith's (Ellen Pompeo) potential love interest, which quickly fizzled once Meredith realized she just wasn't that into him. But he bounced back with Amelia, whose second try with Owen (Kevin McKidd) crashed and burned, and the pair have been steaming up Grey Sloan ever since.

In addition to Carmack, Greg Germann and Jake Borelli will also head into Season 16 as series regulars.

"Chris, Jake, and Greg have been recurring for us as guest stars and have popped as fan favorites," showrunner Krista Vernoff said, per Deadline. "We are excited to continue revealing their characters and we are beyond thrilled to welcome them to the Grey's Anatomy family."

Koracick (Germann) most recently dated Teddy (Kim Raver), who just realized she's still in love with Owen. That revelation is sure to make things super awkward for all three of them now that Koracick is staying put. Meanwhile, Levi (Borelli) and Nico still have quite a few things to work out in their relationship, and this promotion gives them a fighting chance.

Grey's Anatomy wraps Season 15 on Thursday, May 16 at 8/7c on ABC.
