Abigail Spencer Is Headed Back to Grey's Anatomy

Has she come back to set Owen straight?

Keisha Hatchett

Things have not been going well for Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) on Grey's Anatomy, and it looks like some much-needed help is on the way. Owen's sister Megan (Abigail Spencer) is set to return to the Shondaland drama in an upcoming episode, TV Guide has confirmed. This marks Spencer's first appearance since exiting the series in the middle of Season 14.

No word yet on what business brings Megan back to Grey Sloan, but if anything can pull her back to Seattle, it's an opportunity to aid her big brother. She left Grey's last season to live out her happy ending with Riggs (Martin Henderson) and her son in Los Angeles and has presumably enjoyed a peaceful existence since.

Owen, on the other hand, has seen his life turned upside down after learning that Teddy (Kim Raver) is pregnant with his child. Between his foster son Leo being taken away and then promptly returned, his growing jealousy over Teddy's new relationship with Koracick (Greg Germann), and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) ending their second attempt at a relationship after realizing he needs to work out some unresolved feelings for his ex, the drama has been coming at him at all sides.

A pep talk with Megan could be just the thing to get him back on track.

See how it all goes down when Grey's Anatomy continues Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC.
