Supergirl Supergirl

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! Nope, it's another superhero TV series in the works! As if there weren't enough superpowered tights-clad hotties on television now, Greg Berlanti is developing a Supergirl television series, Deadline reports.

The untitled program will reexamine the Supergirl character and story, with No Ordinary Family's Ali Adler on board to write the script. The show is being set up at Warner Bros. TV, where all DC Comics television properties are produced. WBTV expects to take it out to major networks soon.

This is business as usual for the very busy Berlanti, who is also producing The CW's Arrow and The Flash, also from the DC universe. Adding NBC's Constantine and Fox's Gotham (set in the Batman world), that makes four DC Comics properties that will be on the air this season. In addition to producing Arrow and The Flash, Berlanti has The Mysteries of Laura debuting on NBC this fall.

Are you excited for a Supergirl series, or do you have superhero fatigue? Who would you cast to play the Kryptonian?
