Jeff Goldblum Leaving Law & Order: Criminal Intent

Jeff Goldblum is leaving Law & Order: Criminal Intentafter two seasons, his rep says.

The 57-year-old actor is exiting the USA procedural "due to the uncertainty" of the show's future, according to Variety, who first reported the news. Criminal Intent just wrapped its ninth season on July 6 and has not been renewed by USA.

However, if the Law & Order spin-off does return, USA is likely produce an abbreviated eight-episode final season and hopes to bring back the some of the series' original stars, including Vincent D'Onofrio, according to Deadline. D'Onofrio departed last year after eight seasons.
