Cherry Bang and Keith are literally #glowup #relationshipgoals
[Caution: spoilers about GLOW Season 2 ahead!]
The women of GLOW are amazing.
Seriously -- these ladies run things, and they kick ass too. Each one of them are the kind of people you'd absolutely hang out with.
Not so much for the guys. Exhibit A: Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron). He's disrespectful, and high key sexist. But he's hardly the only trash guy on GLOW.
Bash (Chris Lowell) has a heart, but he's often condescending AF.
Debbie's (Betty Gilpin) ex-husband Mark (Rich Sommer) seems like he actually researches ways to make his ex's life hell.
And Tom Grant, the network head who sexually harasses Ruth (Alison Brie) and then punishes the show when she doesn't make herself available to him, can obviously go play in traffic.
But there's one guy among these scumbags who's actually a good dude: Keith, (Bashir Salahuddin), the league's referee and partner of Cherry "Junkchain" Bang (Sydelle Noel).
He always speaks to her with sensitivity and respect, and treats her like an equal partner in their relationship. They're a team.
From the moment we met him, he's shown that whenever his wife is having an issue, he's there to support her and is all, 'Hey baby, talk to me.' So sweet.
He's actually pretty respectful to all women in the league, not just his wife.
He knows how to be a total goof and put a smile on Cherry Bang's face with silly fun too.
He even works on keeping it tight and sexy for his lady.
And when it's time for throwing down in the other ring, he's got all the right consensual moves and sweet talk -- even when his partner changes her mind about sex mid-way, like the time he tells her, "If I got all excited and my woman wasn't in the mood, what kind of man would I be?" That's what's up, Keith.
Keith is the best. Hello, Keith Bang? Just calling to tell you you're the best, Zaddy. Don't change.
GLOW is currently streaming on Netflix.
