When the network canceled Beck's show in April, it also announced its intention to continue to work with Beck to develop new TV projects for the network and other platforms. Thus far, there has been no indication of what those projects might entail, though Beck's contract with Fox doesn't expire until December.
"Glenn Beck is a powerful communicator, a creative entrepreneur and a true success by anybody's standards. I look forward to continuing to work with him," Roger Ailes, the chairman of Fox News, said in April.
The Glenn Beck Show is the third-highest-rated on cable news, but its ratings have taken a dip this year. Additionally, The Hollywood Reporter suggests that Beck's controversial views have repelled advertisers.
