The Glee Project Casting For Season 2

Oxygen started casting Monday for contestants for the next season of The Glee Project with a nationwide search online — even though the show has not been officially renewed. Check out our fall preview for galleries, scoop, premiere calendars and more! The search will continue with open calls in New York, Chicago and Nashville, Oxygen said Monday, adding that it's looking for men and women over 18 with strong vocal, acting and dancing abilities and oversized personalities. Production is slated to begin in January 2012.

The first season of The Glee Project, which averaged 1.1 million viewers an episode, featured 12 contestants vying for a role on the Fox series, Glee. In the end, creator Ryan Murphy chose both two winners and also offered two-episode arcs to the two other finalists.
