GLAAD Understandably Unhappy with Grey's Star
Grey's Anatomy loudmouth Isaiah Washington did himself so much more harm than good by declaring backstage at the Golden Globes that he never called gay costar T.R. Knight the F-word. Not long after Knight went on Ellen to call his cast mate out as a liar, GLAAD issued a statement explaining that when Washington "uses this kind of anti-gay slur - whether on set or in front of the press - it does more than create a hostile [work] environment. It also feeds a climate of hatred and intolerance that contributes to putting [the gay] community in harm's way. Tragically, this sometimes can be the last word people hear before they're attacked, beaten and possibly even killed." In other words, Isaiah: open your mind, and not your mouth.
