Ginger Spice Is Engaged! See Her Old-School Announcement

Wannabe Geri Halliwell's lover? Too late. The erstwhile Ginger Spice is engaged to Formula 1 racing team boss Christian Horner, People reports.

Though her Spice Girls persona was wild, Halliwell went the traditional route to share the news of her engagement. Like Benedict Cumberbatch last week, the couple made the announcement in Tuesday's edition of The Times. "The engagement is announced between Christian, son of Mr and Mrs G.M. Horner and Geraldines, daughter of the late Mr L.R. Halliwell and Mrs A. Parkinson," the statement read.

Halliwell later added on Twitter: "Christian and I are delighted to announce that we are engaged! We're both very happy."

This is the second engagement for Halliwell, 42, who was previously set to marry Fabrizio Politi, an Italian yacht-company owner, in 2009. The singer is mother to Bluebell, 8, whose father is her ex Sachi Gervasi. Horner, 40, also has a 1-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. The two have been dating since early this year.
