Jane the Virgin's Gina Rodriguez Is Writing a Book Inspired by Her Dad

She can and she will!

Think you've got a great Father's Day present lined up? Well, Gina Rodriguez has you beat.

The Jane the Virgin star has signed a deal with Simon & Schuster to pen a book honoring her beloved dad, Genaro Rodriguez. The book, titled "I Can and I Will: Tools My Daddy Gave Me," will be published this year.

"My father would always remind me to give away your blessings to make room for more," Rodriguez said in a statement. "This book has been a dream of mine for many years now, a love letter to a father who has given me strength I only know is right to share with others. If you can move, stretch, teach, inspire, encourage and motivate others by telling your stories, why wouldn't you?"

The actress excitedly shared the news on Instagram:

The book should come as no surprise for fans of Rodriguez and her hit CW comedy. When she took home the Golden Globe for best actress in a comedy series earlier this year, she paid a great - and emotional - thanks to her family, and her father in her speech.

The book is expected to talk about how her father's values helped pave the way for success for Rodriguez and her two sisters, who are an investment banker and doctor, respectively.

We may not know the release date, but can we pre-order the book yet?
