MacGyver will be losing one of its team members; actor George Eads, who plays MacGyver's (Lucas Till) old Army buddy Jack Dalton, is reportedly leaving the CBS drama, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The news that Eads has negotiated an exit from the show comes after an altercation in October led to him storming off the show's Atlanta set during the middle of a production day. The actor has co-starred on the CBS reboot since the pilot and is currently still filming the series, but is expected to depart after the new year. According to THR, he had also been asking to be let go from the series so he could spend more time with his daughter in Los Angeles.

This is not the first time that Eads has prematurely left a show. The actor also left CSIafter an altercation with a series writer in 2013. The incident led to a temporary suspension and a brief return before Eads left the show at the end of Season 15.

MacGyver airs Fridays at 8/7c on CBS.
