Infamous bachelor George Clooney is married, People reports.

The Oscar winner wed Amal Alamuddin in a private ceremony in Venice Saturday evening in front of 100 friends and family, though they won't file the paperwork to make their union official until Monday. Close friend, and the former mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni acted as officiant for the symbolic ceremony, while guests including Matt Damon, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Bill Murray, Cindy Crawford and Anna Wintour looked on.

Clooney, 53, proposed to Alamuddin, 36, in April, seven months after they were first romantically linked. This is the first marriage for Alamuddin, a lawyer, and the second for Clooney, who was married to Mad Men actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.
