Fans of Game of Thrones got another taste of Westeros during Sunday night's 71st Primetime Emmy Awards celebration. Although some of the stars were technically competing with each other in the acting categories, series stars Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Gwendoline Christie, Alfie Allen, and Carice van Houten were all united when they took the stage to say goodbye to the HBO epic.

Emmys 2019 Complete Coverage

The segment began with an introduction from late night host Seth Meyers, who quipped that the series reminded fans of age-old truths like how "no matter how much wedding planning you do something invariably goes wrong" and also reminded of a simpler time when "in the days before 23 and me people had to rely on word of mouth to find out they had slept with their aunt."

Then the 10 stars stood before a virtual version of the wall and took turns speaking. "It's an honor for us to be here tonight," said Alfie Allen, to which Sophie Turner added how much the final season meant to them. Maisie Williams then added, "Tonight is a chance to once again thank all of those who watched."

They then went on to present the award for Supporting Actress in a Limited Series, but not before Gwendoline Christie had to pause for some very enthusiastic applause.

The presentation followed an emotional behind-the-scenes reunion between Turner and her on-screen brother, who made Winterfell proud with their meaningful embrace.

All eight seasons of Game of Thrones are available at HBO.
