FXX Renews It's Always Sunny, Orders Tracy Morgan Comedy

FXX has renewed It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for Seasons 11 and 12, the network announced Friday. The double season renewal comes as part of a three-year production deal with Sunny stars Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton, and makes the series one of the longest-running live-action comedies in TV history.

FXX has renewed It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for Seasons 11 and 12, the network announced Friday.

The double season renewal comes as part of a three-year production deal with Sunny stars Rob McElhenneyCharlie Day and Glenn Howerton, and makes the series one of the longest-running live-action comedies in TV history.

The deal also includes a 10-episode series order for an untitled Tracy Morganproject, created by McElhenney, Day, Howerton and Luvh Rakhe, who will also serve as showrunners. The series will be paired with the 10th season of Sunny for an expected launch date of January 2015.

As part of the deal, FX also ordered a comedy pilot, a script order for Harder (co-written by Howerton), a script order for We're Good, Thanks (written by Day, Mary Elizabeth Ellis and Artemis Pebdani, with the latter two attached to star), and a script order for Blow Up Dolls (written by and starring Sarah Solemani).
