Did your DVR cut off the final minutes of last week's pivotal episode of The Americans? You're not the only one.

FX is planning to make the episode available for free online at, after an error by the network's publicity department resulted in DVR viewers missing out on the final moments.

Rather than its usual runtime of 60 minutes (from 10 to 11 p.m. ET), Wednesday's expanded episode of The Americans was scheduled to run until 11:07 p.m. But the new runtime was not communicated to listings services that trigger the automatic recording times of DVRs, FX said in a statement.

TV Scorecard: What's renewed? What's canceled?

"The error is regrettable and I apologize to all the loyal fans of The Americans who were cheated out of the full viewing experience of one of the most important episodes so far this season," FX spokesman John Solberg said in a statement. "Unfortunately mistakes happen and this happened to be a very unfortunate time for this kind of mistake. I hope the viewers whose DVRs failed to capture the final seven minutes of the episode will take advantage of the opportunity to watch the encore run on and see the spectacular ending."

A note for DVR viewers: This week's episode, "Only You," is scheduled to air Wednesday from 10 to 11:03 p.m. ET. Adjust your settings accordingly!
