Fox's Fall Schedule: Sleepy Hollow Moves, New Girl Held to Midseason

Sleepy Hollow is on the move! The genre drama will air on Thursdays, while New Girl will be held to midseason, FOX announced on Monday.

Ratings juggernaut Empirewill return to its Wednesdays-at-9/8c timeslot in the fall as expected, following the new autopsy procedural Rosewood. Ryan Murphy's anticipated anthology series Scream Queens is part of an all-new Tuesday night, as it airs at 9/8c after new comedies Grandfathered, starring John Stamos, and The Grinderwith Rob Lowe.

Fox also announced that the upcoming season of American Idolwill be its last and that the six-episode limited return of The X-Fileswill be pushed to January 2016 to launch after playoff football Also airing in early 2016 is Grease: Live.
New Girl returns at midseason with new comedy The Guide to Surviving Life in the place of scream queens. Also debuting at midseason are new dramas Lucifer and The Frankenstein Code, as well as animated comedy Bordertown.
